2008年5月7日，日立发布业界7200转笔记本硬盘的最新旗舰型号：7K320，一举将目前笔记本硬盘的最大容量320GB从5400转提升到了7200转的水准，并较之前的7K200容量上提升了60%。

　　这是日立自7K60、7K100和7K200以来的第四代7200转笔记本硬盘，容量有320GB、250GB、160GB、120GB和80GB等型号，9.5mm规格，支持SATA2标准，工作时抗震性能达到400Gs，非工作状态则达到1000Gs，与目前的主流5400转硬盘相若；而寻道时间据日立官方的数据则只有12ms，较上市市场上的320GB的5400转硬盘有明显进步。

　　7K320即日起开始进入市场，而加强型号E7K320则将于今年3季度上市。
